As a West Lafayette maternity photographer, I knew right away that Prophetstown State Park would be a great location for Sydney and Jacob's photo session. They were expecting their first baby girl, and wanted an outdoor location that felt outdoorsy, and even though it was November, they were hoping for just a little bit of that fall color. The beautiful prairie grasses at Prophetstown provided a great backdrop for Sydney and Jacob. The movement of the grasses with the stark contrast of her dress went together perfectly. We also walked a few trails and found a little bit of color still on the trees!
This maternity session with Sydney and Jacob was taken back in 2022! A few short weeks after their shoot, their sweet daughter Macy was born. I had the incredible privilege of being the photographer for their in home lifestyle newborn sessions that I blogged here.
I recommend scheduling your maternity photo session during months 7 or 8 of your pregnancy. It's the perfect pick-me-up during those long months of waiting, and your bump is finally big enough to show off in pictures! Your significant other, pets, and other kiddos are all more than welcome to join in.
