It's been a journey for Bailey and Dalton. After almost two years of infertility, this couple finally received the news they had long hoped for: they were pregnant! Bailey reached out to me with plans to reveal the news to their family and friends with a photo shoot. When I arrived to meet Bailey and Dalton at West Lafayette's Celery Bog for their session, *I* was in for a surprise! Between booking and the session day, they found out they were having twins! It took me a moment to get over this little turn of events - my whole night was made. Their excitement and easy smiles made this session so easy and fun.
A few tips for a pregnancy announcement session:
1. Bring that ultrasound picture! Ultrasounds are so easily recognizable as pregnancy-related. No one will be left guessing what your big surprise is.
2. An ultrasound picture alone is great, but consider adding a special baby-sized item that reflects you and your spouse's interests or hobbies.
3. Let your photographer know your anticipated reveal date. This helps them know if they need to fast-track the editing process and when to make their own public post about your session. We certainly don't want to ruin the surprise by posting before you do!
4. Think about where you want your session to take place and ask your photographer for ideas. This glowy, nature-y sunset location was perfect for Bailey and Dalton. Other options include your comfort of your home or even a favorite place, like a coffee shop or downtown view.
